Mike Matheson Out Thursday vs. Stars Due to Lower-Body Injury

Montreal Canadiens defenseman Mike Matheson will not play Thursday against the Dallas Stars due to a lower-body injury. Matheson will undergo evaluation upon the team's return home, leaving his availability in doubt for Saturday's matchup against the Pittsburgh Penguins. This marks another setback for Matheson, who previously missed four games earlier in October with a lower-body issue. Arber Xhekaj and Adam Engstrom will handle third-pairing duties in his absence.
