Jonnu Smith Declared Inactive for Packers on Thursday Night Football

Green Bay Packers tight end Jonnu Smith was ruled inactive for Thursday night's game against the Carolina Panthers. Smith was a surprise late scratch, leaving the Packers with just three active tight ends for the first time all season. The team opted to suit up Josh Whyle due to his recent contributions on special teams, bypassing Smith in the pass-catching rotation for Week 8.
