Astros Target Brewers Executive Matt Klein for Vacant General Manager Role

The Houston Astros are targeting Milwaukee Brewers assistant general manager Matt Klein to fill their vacant GM opening. Klein, who previously worked for Houston before joining Milwaukee in 2007, has spent 20 seasons with the Brewers and was promoted to his current assistant GM role in November 2023. His responsibilities include roster construction, transactions, finances, and salary arbitration. Klein emerged as the favorite over candidates Josh Barfield, Mike Rizzo, and Matt Klentak.
