Yaroslav Askarov Gets Starting Nod for Sharks Against Visiting Canucks

San Jose Sharks goaltender Yaroslav Askarov will get the start in Thursday's home game against the Vancouver Canucks. Askarov has received minimal offensive support recently, going 1-2-0 across his last three starts despite stellar numbers including a 1.68 goals-against average and a .956 save percentage over that stretch. He will face a Vancouver attack that has averaged 3.07 goals per game to begin the regular season.
