Brandon Nimmo Wraps Up First Season With Texas Rangers

Brandon Nimmo spent his 2026 season with the Texas Rangers after being traded from the New York Mets in exchange for Marcus Semien. While the trade provided long-term salary relief and opened an outfield spot for New York, Nimmo delivered a slightly above-average offensive campaign in Texas. However, the veteran outfielder continued to show defensive decline in the field, raising questions about the four remaining years on his contract as Texas evaluates his long-term role.
