Alex Tuch Scores Two Goals in Capitals' 5-2 Victory Over Flyers

Alex Tuch scored his eighth and ninth goals of the season, including an empty-netter, to lead the Washington Capitals to a 5-2 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers on Wednesday night. Acquired in a trade from Buffalo before signing an eight-year, $84 million extension in June, Tuch became just the second player in Capitals franchise history to score at least nine goals in his first 11 games with the team, joining Dino Ciccarelli (1988-89).
