Damian Lillard Reflects on Return From Achilles Injury

Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard opened up about his arduous journey back from a torn Achilles tendon suffered in April 2025 and being waived by Milwaukee, proving he is 'who I think I am.' After re-signing with Portland, the 36-year-old nine-time All-Star hit a clutch 25-foot jumper to seal a 136-129 win over the Lakers. Lillard is averaging 21.7 points and a career-high 42.9% from beyond the arc for the undefeated Trail Blazers.
