Zach Hyman Placed on Injured Reserve Due to Stiff Neck

Edmonton Oilers winger Zach Hyman was placed on injured reserve Wednesday after suffering a stiff neck during the second period of Monday's 4-3 shootout loss to Detroit. The placement guarantees Hyman will miss at least Edmonton's next three games, adding to a frustrating start to the season where he previously missed six contests from Oct. 1-15 due to an undisclosed injury. Forward Filip Hallander could return to the lineup in Hyman's absence.
