Damian Lillard Powers Trail Blazers Past Lakers With Clutch Step-Back 3-Pointer

Damian Lillard powered the Portland Trail Blazers to a 136-129 win over Luka Dončić and the Los Angeles Lakers, pushing Portland to a perfect 3-0 start. Lillard sealed the deal in the final minute with his fourth 3-pointer of the night, a vintage step-back over Matisse Thybulle. The 36-year-old guard is in his first season back after missing last year with an Achilles injury, having rejoined his original franchise on a three-year deal in 2025.
