Kiefer Sherwood Denied in Point-Blank Chance During Loss to Sabres

San Jose Sharks forward Kiefer Sherwood was denied on a key point-blank scoring attempt late in the third period of Tuesday's 2-0 loss to the Buffalo Sabres. Sabres goaltender Colten Ellis robbed Sherwood with 4:01 remaining to preserve Buffalo's shutout lead. The Sharks managed 23 shots on goal during the contest but were unable to beat Ellis, falling to just one regulation win through 13 games this season.
