Josh Simmons Placed on IR After Meeting Altercation with Chiefs Coaches
Offensive tackle Josh Simmons was placed on injured reserve with a lower-back herniated disc following an incident in a Chiefs team meeting. Head coach Andy Reid and quarterback Patrick Mahomes told Simmons to leave after he refused to take his feet off a desk, explaining his back and hips hurt. Simmons later apologized. The 2025 first-round pick has yet to play this season due to the back issue, and insider Ian Rapoport questioned if Simmons will ever play for Kansas City again.
