Bilal Coulibaly Extension Talks Fall Short With Wizards Before Deadline

Washington Wizards forward Bilal Coulibaly engaged in last-minute extension negotiations with the franchise, but no deal was finalized prior to the deadline. As a result, the former No. 7 overall pick is set to enter restricted free agency next summer. Coulibaly is currently averaging 8.0 points and 4.2 rebounds per game during the 2026-27 NBA season. Despite the lack of an agreement, Washington reportedly still views the young forward as a long-term piece of its core.
