James Reimer Struggles in Debut Following Contract With Rangers

Goaltender James Reimer struggled in his New York Rangers debut on Monday night, allowing three goals on eight shots over 20 minutes of action in a 6-3 loss to the Los Angeles Kings. After winning a game with AHL Hartford on a PTO, Reimer signed a one-year NHL deal as New York sought netminding support following Igor Shesterkin's season-ending injury. Reimer allowed goals on his first two shots faced, leaving his position on the Rangers' roster under immediate scrutiny.
