Tyler Bell Recovers from Shoulder Surgery Ahead of 2027

Colorado Rockies 2026 first-round pick (10th overall) Tyler Bell is undergoing rehab following early August surgery to repair a torn labrum in his non-throwing shoulder. The 21-year-old switch-hitting shortstop sustained the injury in February at the University of Kentucky, where he slashed .343/.510/.608 with nine home runs as a sophomore. Bell missed instructional league action but expects to be fully cleared and ready for spring training.
