Anthony Nunez Flashes Elite Offspeed Stuff in Rookie Season With Orioles

Anthony Nunez completed his rookie season with the Baltimore Orioles, posting a 4.07 ERA with 10 strikeouts per nine innings across 52 relief appearances in 2026. Acquired from the Mets in the Cedric Mullins trade, the converted infielder showcased elite offspeed offerings, generating a 45.8% whiff rate with his sweeper while holding batters to a .102 average on his changeup. However, struggles with his fastball (.316 BAA) remain his main off-season focus.
