Justin Lamkin Dazzles in AFL with Perfect Outing for Surprise

Kansas City Royals LHP prospect Justin Lamkin was named a Week 3 top performer in the Arizona Fall League after a dominant start for Surprise. The 2025 71st overall pick retired 13 straight batters across 4.1 scoreless, hitless innings with four strikeouts, featuring his newly developed curveball. Returning from a May shoulder injury that cut short a strong start (2.04 ERA, 0.93 WHIP in 7 starts), Lamkin has allowed just one run on one hit over his last 8 1/3 Fall League frames.
