Tyrese Haliburton Returns as Pacers Face Work Ahead After Loss

Tyrese Haliburton made his emotional home debut for the Indiana Pacers after recovering from a torn Achilles sustained in June 2025. Despite an electric reception at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, Indiana suffered a blowout loss to the Dallas Mavericks, trailing by 37 at halftime before falling by 16. Haliburton noted the team faces early-season growing pains while integrating center Ivica Zubac and refining their 19th-ranked defense. The Pacers currently hold a 2-2 record through four games.
