Connor McDavid Off To Red-Hot Start For Edmonton Oilers

Edmonton Oilers captain Connor McDavid is off to a blistering start to the 2026-27 season, averaging three points a game during a season-opening 11-game point streak. McDavid leads the league with 33 points, placing him in rare Wayne Gretzky territory if he can maintain this historic early-season pace alongside top-scoring teammates Leon Draisaitl and Evan Bouchard.
