Alex Hoppe Demonstrates High-Leverage Potential in Orioles Bullpen

Acquired from the Seattle Mariners in exchange for outfielder Taylor Ward, 27-year-old reliever Alex Hoppe impressed with a 1.84 ERA across 18 appearances for the Baltimore Orioles. Featuring a triple-digit fastball and high-spin slider, Hoppe notched four holds, one save, and a victory during his late-season stint. Heading into 2027 with two minor league options remaining, he will compete for a high-leverage bullpen spot.
