Omar Cooper Jr. Makes NFL History in Historic Jets Debut
New York Jets rookie wide receiver Omar Cooper Jr. posted five receptions for 115 yards and a touchdown in a 28-25 loss to the Miami Dolphins. Cooper became the first receiver in 40 years to record at least 100 receiving yards and a touchdown in two of his first three career games, despite missing time earlier with an ankle injury. The historic performance places him squarely in early contention for Offensive Rookie of the Year honors.
