Jaxon Smith-Njigba On Pace to Break Calvin Johnson's NFL Receiving Record

Seattle Seahawks WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba has recorded 867 receiving yards through seven games, averaging 123.9 yards per game. This puts the reigning Offensive Player of the Year on pace for 1,982 yards through 16 games, which would break Calvin Johnson's single-season NFL record of 1,964 yards set in 2012. Over a full 17-game season, Smith-Njigba is projected to reach 2,106 receiving yards, potentially making him the first player in league history to cross the 2,000-yard mark.
