Josh Jacobs Active For Season Debut Against Detroit Lions

Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs is active for his season debut Sunday against the Lions, though his role will be managed as the game unfolds. After spending the first six weeks on the commissioner's exempt list amid a league investigation, Jacobs maintained conditioning and was cleared to practice. The Packers plan to monitor him initially before eventually reclaiming his three-down workhorse role in an offense ranking dead last in rushing.
