Alex McCoy Sets Statcast Records in Arizona Fall League Action

Padres No. 26 prospect Alex McCoy is showcasing his power with the Peoria Javelinas in the Arizona Fall League, hitting .256 with a .989 OPS, four home runs, and 11 RBI. He recently recorded a 345-foot homer with a 118.2 mph exit velocity, the highest of the AFL season and fourth-highest since the Statcast era began in 2015. Alongside his outfield duties, McCoy is expanding his defensive versatility by making his first AFL start at first baseman to gain upper-level pitching experience.
