Chig Okonkwo Targeted on Hits Drawing Fines for Fred Warner

Washington Commanders tight end Chig Okonkwo was on the receiving end of two hits from 49ers linebacker Fred Warner during their Week 6 matchup that resulted in league fines. Warner was fined $17,911 for a hit on a defenseless player against Okonkwo—a flag that officials initially threw and then picked up—and another $47,762 for impermissible use of the helmet when initiating head-first contact with Okonkwo during San Francisco's 23-17 win.
