J.J. McCarthy Named Starting Quarterback for New York Giants

The New York Giants have named J.J. McCarthy as their starting quarterback against the Houston Texans. Acquired from Minnesota on Sept. 28, the 23-year-old threw for nearly 250 yards and a touchdown in under 12 minutes in previous action. Giants fans overwhelmingly support the switch from Jameis Winston following Jaxson Dart's season-ending knee injury, hoping McCarthy's athleticism energizes the offense.
