Dawson Mercer Traded To Winnipeg Jets In Connor Hellebuyck Blockbuster

Versatile forward Dawson Mercer was traded by the New Jersey Devils to the Winnipeg Jets in a blockbuster deal for goaltender Connor Hellebuyck. Mercer, who carries an impressive 420-game ironman streak, is expected to make his Jets debut against the Montreal Canadiens. Having tallied four assists without a goal through his first 10 games of the season, Mercer's departure tests New Jersey's forward depth while offering him a fresh opportunity to anchor Winnipeg's lineup.
