Nick Bjugstad Traded To Winnipeg Jets While Recovering From Surgery

Veteran center Nick Bjugstad was traded by the New Jersey Devils to the Winnipeg Jets as part of the blockbuster deal bringing goaltender Connor Hellebuyck to New Jersey. Bjugstad is currently recovering from surgery for a torn left pec performed in September and is expected to be sidelined for four to six months. Placed on injured reserve by Winnipeg, the depth center and pending free agent will continue his rehabilitation under medical care as he targets an early 2027 return to action.
