Evgeni Malkin Sidelined With Illness for Saturday vs. Nashville

Evgeni Malkin will not play in Saturday's game against the Nashville Predators due to an illness. After missing Friday's practice, Malkin briefly returned to the ice for Saturday's optional morning skate, but ultimately could not suit up, missing at least one contest. He has registered six goals and nine points across 11 appearances this season. Avery Hayes will step into the lineup to replace Malkin against the Predators in his absence.
