Matt Tomkins Called Up by Edmonton Oilers Under Emergency Conditions

Goaltender Matt Tomkins has been called up by the Edmonton Oilers from the AHL's Bakersfield Condors under emergency conditions after Devon Levi was placed on injured reserve. Tomkins, a 32-year-old veteran who previously played six games for the Tampa Bay Lightning and posted a 12-10-5 record with a 2.55 GAA in AHL Syracuse last season, could soon make his team debut. He signed a two-year, two-way deal in July 2025 and provides much-needed veteran depth to the crease.
