Connor Bedard Scores Snipe But Blackhawks Fall to Canadiens

Connor Bedard scored his second goal of the season at 4:23 of the first period off a feed from Patrick Kane, giving the Chicago Blackhawks an initial 1-0 lead against the Montreal Canadiens. The Blackhawks returned from a six-day rest looking sharp early, but defensive lapses and short-handed goals allowed Montreal to take control. Bedard's goal was Chicago's first in over a week as they ultimately suffered a 4-1 defeat.
