Ogbo Okoronkwo Released By 49ers To Clear Roster Spot

San Francisco 49ers defensive lineman Ogbo Okoronkwo was released on Friday to clear a roster spot for wide receiver Christian Kirk's return from injured reserve. Okoronkwo, who has recorded two tackles and one sack across six games with one start this season, is not subject to waivers as a vested veteran and could potentially be re-signed to San Francisco's practice squad ahead of Sunday's game.
