John Brebbia Ends Tumultuous 2026 Season After Brief Stint With Rockies

John Brebbia experienced a tumultuous 2026 campaign across multiple organizations. After failing to make Colorado's opening roster, he spent time with the Twins' Triple-A affiliate before re-signing with the Rockies in May. Called up on June 21, Brebbia allowed two home runs against the Marlins on June 30, inflating his MLB ERA to 10.38 across 4.1 innings before being designated for assignment. He finished the year in Triple-A with the Boston Red Sox, posting a 1.62 WHIP and two strikeouts in the majors.
