Matthew Schaefer Ties Bobby Orr With First Goal Of Season In Overtime Loss

Matthew Schaefer scored his first goal of the season and the 24th of his career in a 3-2 overtime loss to the Kings. The milestone goal tied him with Bobby Orr for second all-time in goals scored as a teenaged defenseman. Schaefer now has nine points through 10 games for the Islanders, who sit third in the Metropolitan Division as they head out for a week-long road trip to face the Dallas Stars.
