Nick Blankenburg Exits Game Early Following Hit Against Rangers

Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Nick Blankenburg was forced to leave Thursday's 5-4 victory over the New York Rangers during the third period. Blankenburg departed the game after taking a heavy hit along the boards from Rangers forward Will Cuylle. Head coach Jim Hiller and the team offered no immediate update on the blue liner's status following the contest as Toronto prepares for an upcoming four-game road trip starting Saturday.
