Freddy Peralta Slated to Start Game 3 of World Series

Tampa Bay Rays right-hander Freddy Peralta is scheduled to start Game 3 of the 2026 World Series at Tropicana Field, where he posted a 2.03 ERA across five starts this year. Peralta earned ALCS MVP honors following dominant postseason performances, racking up 39 strikeouts and a 0.90 ERA over his last nine starts. Returning to form with increased velocity and a nasty changeup after a brief stint with the Mets, he enters free agency as the second-best starting pitcher available this winter.
