Samuel Ersson Named Home Starter for Senators Against Sharks

Ottawa Senators netminder Samuel Ersson will get the nod in goal Thursday against the San Jose Sharks. Ersson is taking on an expanded workload with starter Linus Ullmark sidelined on injured reserve due to a lower-body injury. The 27-year-old searches for his first win of the season after struggling to an 0-2-0 record, a 4.71 GAA, and an .831 save percentage through his initial four appearances of the 2026-27 campaign.
