Albert Suárez Endures Five DFA Stints as Orioles' Workhorse

Despite being designated for assignment five times by the Baltimore Orioles in 2026, 36-year-old right-hander Albert Suárez proved invaluable by eating 34.1 innings across 17 relief appearances from May through August. Finishing with a 3-0 record, his multi-inning bullpen work provided crucial stability during blowout losses. While facing a potential lockout or roster evolution for 2027, Suárez's durability and willingness to mop up tough games cemented his role as an unsung hero.
