Ziaire Williams Emerges as Preseason Winner to Secure Starting Role

Ziaire Williams secured a starting spot for the Lakers' season opener after emerging as a winner of a competitive training camp and preseason. Signed to a veteran minimum contract, the 6-foot-9 forward started both preseason games he played, providing the versatile perimeter defense the team coveted. He showcased his value by picking up opposing ball-handlers full court and making all five of his preseason three-point attempts, joining the opening night lineup against Golden State.
