Jake McCabe Exits Early After High Stick in Maple Leafs Victory

Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Jake McCabe exited early during a 6-2 victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets after receiving a high stick under his visor from Kent Johnson. Head coach Jim Hiller stated post-game that McCabe was held out strictly for precautionary reasons and that a serious injury was avoided. McCabe has recently been skating on Toronto's top defensive pairing alongside Darren Raddysh following an injury to Chris Tanev.
