Keegan Thompson Struggles in First Season with Rockies

Keegan Thompson finished the 2026 season with the Colorado Rockies posting a -0.2 rWAR and an 8.25 ERA across five appearances, his worst mark in five MLB seasons. Signed in January after being waived by the Reds, Thompson was designated for assignment on June 9. He spent the rest of the year with Triple-A Albuquerque, recording a 5.28 ERA and a 2-5 record in 73.1 innings. His ongoing MLB inconsistency leaves his future uncertain heading into the 2027 season.
