Jameis Winston Ceding Starting Quarterback Job to J.J. McCarthy

New York Giants quarterback Jameis Winston is moving to the backup role as the team prepares to start J.J. McCarthy against the Houston Texans in Week 7. Winston started the previous four games following Jaxson Dart's knee injury, posting a 2-1-1 record with seven touchdowns and four interceptions. However, he was benched in the fourth quarter against New Orleans after throwing two interceptions, opening the door for McCarthy.
