Joel Embiid Sparks Defensive Resurgence in Sixers' Win Over Knicks

Joel Embiid fueled the Philadelphia 76ers' 106-100 season-opening win over the New York Knicks with a stellar defensive performance. After picking up three early fouls, Embiid suggested LeBron James guard Karl-Anthony Towns, allowing Embiid to roam as a paint protector. Limiting the Knicks to 12-31 shooting in the paint with several big blocks, a healthy and leaner Embiid declared his goal to return to All-Defensive Team form this season.
