Mark Stone Scores Shorthanded Goal In Vegas Loss To Lightning

Mark Stone provided a rare highlight for Vegas by scoring his eighth goal of the season shorthanded late in the first period, briefly tying the game 2-2 before a 6-2 loss to Tampa Bay. Capitalizing on a strong forecheck and a read by teammate Brett Howden, the captain refused to view the setback as a measuring-stick game in October. Stone emphasized that the Golden Knights are focused on correcting mistakes and building their game toward a long playoff run.
