Ben Simmons Out for Season After Suffering Torn Achilles in Practice

Sacramento Kings guard Ben Simmons will miss the entire 2026-2027 season after suffering a torn Achilles during practice. Teammate Keegan Murray called the injury "probably the worst thing I've seen on the basketball court." Simmons had recently signed a one-year, $3.5 million deal with $1 million guaranteed after sitting out last season to rehab past injuries. Reports indicate Sacramento intends to pay Simmons his full salary for the year.
