Yohandy Morales Makes Strong Impression in Debut With Nationals

Yohandy Morales had a productive 2026 season, hitting .286 with 25 homers and an .882 OPS in AAA before making his MLB debut on September 1. In 17 big league games, he hit .255 with 4 homers and an .851 OPS, showcasing elite raw power with a 91.7 MPH average exit velocity and 62.5% hard-hit rate. Despite concerns over a 31.9% strikeout rate and zero walks, his consistent hard contact positions him to compete for corner infield reps heading into the 2027 season.
