Saliou Niang Cleared to Compete for LSU Tigers This Season

Former NBA Draft pick Saliou Niang has been officially cleared by the NCAA eligibility process to compete for the LSU Tigers under head coach Will Wade. Selected 58th overall in the 2025 draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers before playing for Virtus Bologna, Niang was cleared because his LSU commitment predated new rules banning former pros from college basketball. The Senegalese-Italian forward posted 7.1 points per game across 38 EuroLeague contests.
