Damian Lillard Projected to Start for Trail Blazers Against Suns

Damian Lillard is set to reclaim his starting guard role for the Portland Trail Blazers in their season opener against the Phoenix Suns after returning from a torn Achilles. Having sat out last year rehabbing, the star shooter previously averaged 25 points and seven assists per game. Despite defensive liabilities, his leadership, historic three-point volume, and deep franchise roots make him the most likely candidate to start in Portland's backcourt.
