Fred VanVleet to Sit Out One Game of Back-to-Back Sets

Houston Rockets guard Fred VanVleet will sit out one game of back-to-back sets to open the 2026-27 NBA season, according to Will Guillory of The Athletic. The veteran floor general's workload will be managed closely by the coaching staff as the Rockets navigate their early-season schedule. This load management plan aims to keep VanVleet fresh for the demanding stretches of the campaign.
