Will Smith's Historic World Series Winning Streak Set to End

Los Angeles Dodgers catcher Will Smith will miss the World Series for the first time since 2019, as neither the Tampa Bay Rays nor the Milwaukee Brewers feature a player named Will Smith. The streak includes championships won by the Dodgers catcher in 2020, 2024, and 2025, alongside consecutive titles from 2021 to 2023 won by the retired left-handed relief pitcher of the same name. Their paths famously crossed in the 2020 NLCS when the catcher hit a decisive home run off the reliever.
