Washington Wizards and Bilal Coulibaly Fail to Reach Extension

The deadline has passed without a rookie-scale contract extension between the Washington Wizards and Bilal Coulibaly, sending the 22-year-old wing to restricted free agency next summer. Selected No. 7 in 2023, Coulibaly averaged 11.7 points and 4.3 rebounds last season. Renowned for his elite defense and 86.5-inch wingspan, he regularly locks down top opponents like Giannis Antetokounmpo. Head coach Keefe praised his vital two-way impact as the Wizards open their season against Milwaukee.
